Our Story

Together, Rich and Cher Pearson run The Shockwave Therapy Clinic UK. We are highly trained experienced professionals in the MSK world​ helping many people over the years with Sports Therapy and in the last few years - Tendonitis Shockwave Treatment.

We use state of the art Storz Shockwave machine for our tendonitis shockwave treatment. We have 3 top of the range machines in our clinic. We have 2 Radial machines - a Masterpuls MP50 ultra and a Masterpuls MP200 Ultra. We also have a Duolith SD1 T-Top Ultra Focused Shockwave Machine - as used by professional Premier League Football and Rugby Union teams.

Rich's journey as a therapist started way back in 2005 where he started his degree and after 15 years of being a physical therapist, Rich decided that August 2022 was the time to diversify and branch out into becoming a shockwave practitioner to learn Radial Shockwave for Tendonitis Shockwave Treatment.

Cheryl decided to join him in also having professional training with Venn Healthcare - who are the leading shockwave distributers in the UK market. Tendonitis Shockwave Treatment has without question helped to take our therapy to the next level and enable us to help heal so many more other ailments and complexed ailments than ever before. 

 

After becoming qualified, it was time to take the next step and invest into purchasing a state of the art, top of the range Storz shockwave machine - A Masterpuls MP200 Ultra.

After a year of huge success we then invested in a Storz Duolith Focused Shockwave Machine. The addition of the focused machine has enabled us to provide first class Tendonitis Shockwave treatment and also offer a wider range of specialist treatments, particularly bone related conditions, such as Osteoarthritis and specialist Shockwave therapy for Men's Health conditions - such as ED (Erectile Dysfunction).

We now run a very successful clinic in Highams Park, London where we specialise in tendonitis shockwave treatment but also many other conditions including Men's health conditions - such as ED and we also provide therapy known as AWT for beauty treatments aimed at anti ageing and body sculpting, without any use of harsh, invasive or synthetic products.

Rich

In 2008 after completing my degree with First-Class honours, I started my own clinic - E4 Body Clinic in Highams Park, where I started to help many local people with different ailments. I continued to also work alongside some of the leading doctors at the Academy of Oriental Medicine to gain extra knowledge and then went to Beijing, China in 2007 to gain a more in-depth skill of acupuncture. It was on my return from China that I decided to open up my own clinic in Highams Park and to continue with studying more different therapies and techniques.

 

My clinic started to rapidly grow into a thriving practice where I began building a number of regular clients, helping many people with all different problems such as pains and injuries.

I am registered with the Eastern Medicine Association (EMA) and The British Acupuncture Foundation (BAF). I am fully insured with Balens Insurance.

Cher

I had a major career change in 2020, where I went from being a primary school teacher of 12 years to becoming a qualified sports therapist. My interest in sport increased over the last 10 years, where I became a regular runner and swimmer. From there I went on to studying Acupuncture and Cupping therapy, and very quickly built a very busy clinic with regular clients, many who are keen on sports themselves. From there I decided to study Shockwave Therapy with Richard at Venn Healthcare to further my knowledge and to be able to offer a bigger variety of therapies to help more people with many pains and injuries.

I then decided to take two more further courses to diversify into the aesthetic world by adding Cosmetic Acupuncture and Acoustic Wave Therapy (AWT) to my skillset. This already has proved very popular amongst people looking to naturally improve their physical looks. Offering a natural alternative to anti ageing has been refreshing and my hope is that there is a move away from the more drastic cosmetic trends.
